I’ve been playing through Arkham Asylum quite a lot recently and all I have to say is… wow. What a game.
One of the aspects that has really impressed me so far are the sections where Batman gets infected by the Scarecrows toxic gas (the gas makes you hallucinate about your worse nightmares in hideous realism.) These sections catch you by surprise every bloody time, and are really quite powerful.
You know, I really wish I had gotten this when they reviews started coming in saying it was incredible. If you haven’t played this yet, you’re missing out. It’s quite possibly a candidate for game of the year, which incidentally I’ll be choosing tomorrow!
