Third Times A Charm…

image

I started GTA4 again yesterday, mainly because I’ve never finished it. Not too sure why, but I just never got into it enough to see it to the end. Anyway, now that Episodes from Liberty City has finally surfaced on the PS3 I feel as though I have a good enough reason to pick it up again.

Third time lucky? Well, it worked with Fallout.

I haven’t really been gaming enough lately, because I’ve been starting up an online radio station. As it’s finally hit a stable point, this site will certainly start to be updated more!

Grand Theft Auto: Birmingham

I've been thinking of this for a while now, but how amazing would it be if Rockstar made another GTA game in the UK? Think about. It could be set in the 1980's, in some kind of industrial town up north. The story of corruption, deprivation and borderline poverty could all be there along with an overall feeling of depression and the assurance of 110% more Thatcher!

The soundtrack would be incredible however, and this is the most exciting part. Songs from The Smiths, The Cure, Echo and the Bunnymen, Joy Division (Or New Order) amongst hundreds more. How can you not get excited over this?

Also, the vehicles! Imagine the police! The 80's hairstyles and thick rimmed glasses!

Personally I think it would be incredible. Why waste all your perfect political satire on just America?

It would certainly be a direct contrast to Vice City.

Three Games I Should Really Finish...

1) Crackdown

See, I would finish this straight away, but the thing is... well It's one of those games where you're REALLY enjoying it but then another game takes over and you just never go back to it.  You know? What do you mean "Lazy Gamer"?

2) Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas

Ok, so I never finished GTA4 either but I enjoyed this one much MUCH more than Rockstar's latest installment. However, this reached a point where it was harder than a Rhino's door (wow... worst analogy ever 0.o) and I just gave up. Well I say gave up, like Crackdown I gave up for another game. Hey don't look at me like that! It was Age of Conan!

3) Metal Gear Solid 4

Hey! Don't look at me like that! I just, stopped... no... no...

GTA: Chinatown Wars

Do want! Surprisingly. It actually looks like a DECENT Ds game and let's face it, there's not many of those about.

GET TO THE CHOPPER

I never played Grand Theft Auto 4 online much. In fact I think I went as far as to play half a game of deathmatch before going back to the story, and at the time didn't feel the slightest bit of regret. Now I understand how much of a fool I’ve been. GTA4 with a few mates, or even one mate, is an absolute riot. Tonight, me and a mate spent almost an hour trying to get to the helicopters in the Airport. When we finally got one, I decided to drive and crashed it within about 5 seconds, killing both of us. Fun times xD

I said mate too many times during this blog :P

Grand Theft Auto 4

The PlayStation 3 version of Grand Theft Auto 4 has just received Trophies, and therefore I am once again  addicted to the world of Niko Belic.

The most amazing thing about the entire Grand Theft Auto series, is that your never disappointed when you play one. I was playing the original the other day, and in all seriousness I thoroughly enjoyed every second of it. Now, that doesn't normally happen. Especially when you've played the most recent up to date version (except in the case of Mario). Rockstar truly are the masters of the industry. No matter what they do, they will always deliver a game rich in narrative, with flawless game play and some gut wrenching good humour. Rockstar, I tip my hat sir.

How long can It go on?

How long is it until Microsoft have to increase the disc space of the Xbox to keep multiplatform titles being released on the Xbox?

My answer: I give them about a year. GTA4 has already received a cut due to the Microsoft deal. Eventually developers wont put up with it. HD games can't keep being released on a measly 4.7GB HDDVD.
