Scout Update

I haven't been gaming at all this week, because of a number of personal reasons, but I finally got to have a goo mess around with the scout update today. I love it, but not for the scouts.

It means I can finally get most of the Heavy achievements (which shows how long it's been since I last played this.. lol). Still, I got the first weapon today, so I'm not doing too bad!

Expect me to blog normally for the next few days!

Theme Park World

Ok so I haven't blogged in.... 3 days. For me that's a long time I know, but I just haven't been playing games much this month due to the sheer amount of work I've been having to do for college. Anyway, I actually managed to play a game yesterday for an hour, and this game was Theme Park World

This game brings back so many memories it's unbelievable. I used to LOVE this game. My Dad upgraded the computer when it first came out so he could play it, I devoted myself to it for about 8 months of my childhood life and I remember quite fondly waking up at 5AM on a school morning so I could play it for a few hours before I went in. Ahhh, to be young and in love with a strategy management sim!

Ok, so it hasn't aged well. The graphics are terrible, the gameplay mechanics are abysmal and that little bastard who keeps popping up in the right hand corner needs to be shot (My mate was playing this on Friday, and he actually began to cry because of the sheer amount of times he went on about patrol areas. No joke). But there's something so..... Fresh about this game. It's simple enough to get into to, there's plenty of rides and shops to set up and although there's only four parks to mess around in, it has a surprising amount of depth to it...

Actually playing it makes me want to play Roller Coaster Tycoon 3 again... Hmmm.

Rock Band

I played this for the first time yesterday. My Sister borrowed the full band set (excluding the bass) for the Wii, so of course me a few mates decided to have a go.

In short, I didn’t think much of it, which is disappointing really. I found the guitar uncomfortable to use (which could just be due to my obsession with Guitar Hero 3, which has  a different guitar). The best way to describe it would be playing Guitar Hero with marshmallows taped to your fingers..

The drums, I enjoyed. They were fun at first, but after you realise that no matter how quietly you try to play, you will NEVER hear the song and that they never register all the hits, they don’t seem as enjoyable anymore.

The tracklist is terrible, with only about three songs that are worth playing.

Overall, a major disappointment.

Heathen Talk!

You  know what? I’m considering getting an Xbox… Yea I know, I talk of blasphemy but I may as well. Their not that cheap, they don’t break as much anymore and no-one can deny that the online is worth it every time! Also, it’ll be fun to play some online games with a mate of mine.

In other less hypocritical news, I finished Battlefield Bad Company last night! Cracking game. I really enjoyed it, even though I got it in September (The shame!)

Also, I got Crash Commando and the Metal Gear Solid pack for LittleBigPlanet. I’ve yet to play the latter, but the former is well good. Personally, I just can’t wait for the next Penny Arcade episode to come out. I loved that. It was brilliant. I may even go as far to say one of the best games I’ve played in a while :P

Oh, and the reason I haven't been blogging is that over the last few days I’ve been involved in SOCIAL activities! Real social activities!

I know, I’m surprised too..

Timesplitters

I have a sudden urge to play this… and I don’t know why. I know that it’ll be terrible, especially compared to the awesomeness that was Future Perfect but… I dunno. I just wanna try it.
